Crazy Links

My post on Monday (Fly on the Wall) hit home with a lot of you, whether you've been obese or not. This is taking it to the extreme: A trainer in Australia is gaining weight so he can "empathize" with his clients. Um, not cool.

I know, I stopped watching Biggest Loser. But I have been reading updates other places online, and I was amazed to hear of kicked off contestant Dane running a marathon since he's been off the ranch. Then I read this. Oy. You either DID run a marathon or didn't. It'd be like me saying I ran a 5K because I went out and ran three miles one day. WTH? I'm a girl who likes a side of honesty with her cup of fitness.

Alrighty then! According to Dane's philosophy, I could run a mile a day and after 26 days could proclaim "I've ran a marathon!" WTF?? In his 'mind' he ran it even though he did it over 2 days? Whatever.

I've also quit watching the BL. I still DVR it but I don't watch it. I need to delete the setting, just haven't gotten around to it!

Honesty is too much to ask for these days, it seems.

Say What?!?!?!

Wow, I didn't' even hear that.

Seriously though; got in a car?!?! And thought doing 3 miles the next day completed it? Ugh.

I mean, congrats for what you did but he sounds delusional.

Wow, I haven't seen the last 2 episodes of BL but a marathon is 26.2 miles, not 26 miles and not 23 miles.

That guy is an idiot. He did not run a marathon. It degrades those of us who have. BTW, on your last post, you are a runner. That's all that matters. You run. Woohoo!!!

He should be proud he ran 23 miles, but he has NOT run a marathon. A noble man would've gotten in the car so they could film the precious finish line scene and then gone back to the pick-up spot and completed it. An even nobler man would have refused the medal.

I still watch the show, but mostly on fast forward. The "drama" is so manipulative and false. I do like some of the contestants and want to see what they do, but the whole thing has gotten ridiculous.

Lame to both of them. I haven't been watching much this season because *gasp* I think I'm actually getting tired of it. The drama and made up stuff is just too much.
